Last July, we provided simultaneous interpretation services at a corporate event. The conference, in which an expert addressed the complex topic of particle characterization by granulometry, presented a communication problem with a speaker who did not speak Spanish and an audience composed of guests with varying levels of English proficiency.
On this occasion, in addition to having a team of three highly qualified professionals, an interpreting booth was also integrated to ensure a suitable environment for the service. Another essential aspect in the implementation of the service was the distribution of 50 radio receivers, which allowed attendees to tune in to the interpretation in real-time, ensuring that each participant could comfortably listen to the interpretation without disturbing the flow of the conference.
Initially, the client contracted the service to cover the 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. schedule. However, due to the quality of the interpretation and the added value it brought to the conference, it was extended until 5 p.m., reflecting not only the client's satisfaction but also the importance of our work in the event's success.
Our team traveled to the client's offices to cover the conference held in Bogota.
