The purpose of simultaneous interpretation is to convey a spoken message from one language to another in real-time. It is intended for audiences not fluent in the speaker's source language at an event.
Professional interpreters listen to a fragment of the broadcast message, understand it, and transmit it to the target language without the speaker stopping to translate.
The interpreter(s) work in one or more booths (depending on the number of languages required), listening to the speech through headphones and simultaneously speaking into a microphone. Attendees listen to the interpretation through their FM receivers and tune in to the channel corresponding to the language so that the message is not interrupted for the rest of the audience who know the source language.
At ATmedios, we have specialized sound personnel who will be present during the realization and assembly of the event to provide the necessary assistance. For the correct performance of the simultaneous interpretation, we consider the facilities where the event will be held and the sound system available to prepare ourselves for the technical details.
