Simultaneous interpretation is intended to transfer a spoken message from one language to another in real time. It is aimed at a public that does not master the speaker's language at an event
Professional interpreters listen to a fragment of the message given, comprehend it and express it in the target language. The speaker does not have to stop for the translation to take place.
Interpreters work in one or several booths (depending on the number of languages required). They listen to the speech through headphones and simultaneously speak into a microphone. Attendees listen to the interpretation through their FM receivers, which must be set to the channel corresponding to the target language. This way, the message is not interrupted for the rest of the audience who is familiar with the original language.
In ATmedios we have skilled sound technicians who are available to provide the assistance required before and during the event. For proper simultaneous interpretation, we take into account the facilities where the event will take place as well as its sound system, to cover all the technical details.

Consecutive interpretation
In consecutive interpretation, the speaker stops during his speech so that the interpreter can translate the message each time. The interpreter can intervene after each sentence or he can take notes and then take the floor for several minutes..
In this modality, no equipment or sound-proof booths are used. It is recommended for events with few attendees and where there is some interaction between the audience and the speaker.
Simultaneous interpretation times
Short conference - 1 interpreter
Short conferences involve up to 120 minutes of effective work in the booth. Any other format event longer than this requires hiring two interpreters.
Half a day (4 hours) and full day (8 hours) - 2 interpreters
Half a day includes up to 4 hours of work and full day up to 8 hours. In case of more than 8 hours of effective work, each hour (or its fraction) is charged extra.
